Daily Dose of Happiness

An evening well-spent.

I couldn’t decide between the two titles, but I guess I prefer to call it Daily Dose of Happiness more.

It was on a weekend if I remembered correctly. My friends and I made a plan together to explore the town with our limit time before the semester ended. One of us suggested visiting a hot spring in the group chat. Although, not everybody made it. We met up in the afternoon and of course, I was late as usual. It was probably the third time I rode a bus and I grew to love public transportation. I don’t know why. Don’t ask me about it. I think it is because riding a city bus with friends is fun for some unknown reason. Well, everything is fun when you have someone to share the experience with.

After a long ride, we made it to the neighborhood. I did not mention the hot spring because we didn’t find it right away.

We are here. The most beautiful street or crossroad or whatever it is called. As a girl from a small town, we do not have this kind of giant intersection. Therefore, hold your horses for my lack of knowledge. I apologize.

Guess what I decided to do first thing. I asked to go to the convenience store to get some food because homegirl was hungry. That’s how I gained exceptional weight and I love it.

Later on, we were on our way to look for the hot spring. After about 5 to 10 minutes, we finally found it. But first, photo time.

(Sorry for some photos have bad quality. I tried editing it to make it clearer and brighter.)

Oh boy, so many elders. I loved it. They were so welcoming when all we did was recording stories for our social media. And ate some chips while sitting down on the edge, so we don’t make a mess. Don’t worry, we were clean. Because we are foreigners, they were laughing at whatever we talked about and our confused face. It was our first time ever in a hot spring. Oh and if you are confused reading this, the hot spring was for the legs. You came, took off your shoes, clean your feet at the feet washing station and find a seat to sit down and put your legs in the water. You can walk as well since it was not that small. It has health benefits for how long you should stay in the water.

Once we are finished with the hot spring, we tried to find a new place to go. Don’t be surprised that we did not know where to go next. It was already evening. Thus, we just walked. And walked. And walked. With no real destination. That long walk, I found a piece of myself.

I no longer feel stressed. I was just content in that moment. The quiet city. Gorgeous scenery surrounding me. And more sunset. How many sunsets I’d seen that year. I adore my freedom. I enjoy being independent. I felt like I had it together despite some challenges. I felt like I can truly be myself if that makes any sense. Free of judgment and all.

“We were born in this world, feeling lost. Until one day, someone called out your name and you found a home. Your very own home where you feel safe and love. That’s when I believe you found the meaning of life.”

It’s something I read online. I do not know the exact sentence, so I just typed out what I remember.

I am only 18 years old. There is still a lot for me to learn. Each and every day, I keep telling myself to not leave this world just yet. Things will get better. There are bad days indeed but take a look back on the good old day. I was once happy. Genuine happiness, yo! xoxo

Anyway, we hung out until late at night. Guess what were we doing?

Hitting a jackpot of finding a really good deal on food. Best thing ever for broke college students studying abroad!!! 😀 XD

  1. Hey! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers?
I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any
